Herbalism

Post by Falinx on Fri May 02, 2008 1:28 pm

I know a few of you Herbalize (Wokkie and Lorabane). Could you post a guide to getting started and where to herbalize please? Thanks

seeing how lorabane doesn't have an account on this website....

i've talked to some other sources and we all agree that kb plains is best for skillups. but if you don't mind the slow skillups, but better herbs, harrowed wold, highlands and silverlake is good.

i essentially stayed in kb plains around the kb bridge, adventurer's guild, in front of keep, in front of nock's gate and dragon bones to get to around 400. i broke up the monotony of kb plains with visits to highlands (river forks in front of carthas and in front of cursed lair), bluffs (around monastery) and wold (several locations along the coast).

a word of note here, i didn't really explore herb spots until i was 350 and, by then, i could essentially herb anywhere in plains and get something.

so here's my guild: herb just northwest or southwest of kb bridge from 1-100. then dragon bones and around keep until 200. then start to herb in front of nock's gate (careful the young bandits). at 300, start with wold since you can get t5 wood. split your time between 300-400 in wold and highlands since you can get pretty good herbs. 400-500, continue the same... even visit back to kb plains because i really think that's the place to skill up.

i'm currently herbing in silverlake at 490 herbalism and getting t6 wood.

Ok I started herbalism myself yesterday and got to level 50 and almost all the levels were obtained at the dragon bones. I had a problem around the west side of the bridge saying most areas were barren, but that didn't happen once at the bones. What do you do with the herbs? sell them? I assume we can't make anything out of them... Maybe a carrot and goblin moss stew...

The Woad Flower is really cool. Thanks for the info, I like herbalism a lot better because you don't have to carry around a bunch of axes, or be at an anvil, when party is over just run outside and dig in the ground. =)
